About IOM TCCThe International Organization for Migration (IOM) started as an intergovernmental organization to resettle European displaced persons, refugees and migrants in 1951. After half a century of worldwide operational experience, IOM has grown to encompass a variety of migration management activities throughout the world. TCC ActivitiesTCC serves as IOM's regional clearinghouse for migration-related strategies and center of expertise for the EECA region (the CIS). It assists 11 IOM missions in: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine by providing and facilitating research, programme design and implementation support, and identifying regional migration experts. In addition, TCC provides a unifying mechanism for information exchange among the region's field missions and ensures a cross-fertilization of material, expertise and best international practices among the programmes. |
