Belarus - Belarus SBC praises cooperation with IOM on human trafficking prevention

The State Border Committee (SBC) of Belarus gives a positive assessment of the cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on human trafficking prevention and regulation of migration processes on the border, BelTA learnt from the SBC press service.

Such a conclusion was made during a working visit of the representatives of the Belarusian SBC, International Organization for Migration and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

At the meeting the representatives of the State Border Committee voiced several proposals on the project “Human Trafficking Prevention in the Republic of Belarus” and discussed the organization of the relevant seminars for frontier guards. Apart from that, the participants of the meeting discussed the possibility to purchase "investigator’s kits" for the Belarusian specialists involved in human trafficking prevention.

This project is to be financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
